The establishment of SJ Construction in 2010 is the combination of more than 29 years in the construction industry.

During the initial phase, contracts such from Mondi Forest, Safcol , Assmang Chrome (Machadodorp), Assmang (Lydenburg) and Rainbow Chicken (Carolina) provided Sias with invaluable knowledge and hands-on experience.

Details of the projects:

  • Construction of processing cloakroom change-rooms at Rainbow Chicken (Safety and Hygiene Standards compliant).
  • Maintainance of watchtowers and houses for Mondi Forests.
  • Maintenance and restauration of Mondi and Safcol houses at Warburton.
  • A whole range of projects completed for Assmang Chrome, from the maintenance of houses to highly technical civil projects.

The very first house SJ Construction erected was a housing development of 12 houses for Assmang Chrome in Machadorp.

In 2003 Sias moved to Nelspruit to focus on the opportunities presented by the need for housing construction and housing development such as Sheppard Park with 24 houses and Senator Park with 24 houses.

In 2008 SJ Construction extended it’s reach back to the mining developments at Nkomati Myn in Machadodorp with the construction of a clinic of 782m², Laboratorium 1236m² and an office block of 2148 m².
